are you planning to buy an ipod touch?
why not have an iphone 4s instead...which is way cheaper and looks hi end than just an ipod touch..
cdma iphone from AT&T (cdma means no sim slot , can function as a phone if you have gmate or it can make calls via skype , ym and other messaging app, but ofcourse you need WIFI connection)

used as ipod music player
all working
